On your holiday here at the Alpengasthof and Hotel Kopphütte you don't have to worry about anything, as lots of amenities are included. Being active increases your appetite, we know that, that's why we offer more than just half board: in the morning the aroma of fresh rolls and coffee tempts you down to the breakfast buffet, in the afternoon you can fill up at the sweet buffet, whilst looking forward to the 3-course evening meal. Peckish in the meantime? - our packed lunch provides relief. In addition to the fantastic scenery around the house the panorama spa area is the perfect place to relax, of course you don't have to do without the mountain view here either. Families with children love holidaying with us, as there's something for all ages to discover: play corner, playground, table tennis, billiards, sledges and snowshoes for rental etc.

- Arrival: rooms are ready from 2.00 pm. Please let us know if you are arriving after 5.00 pm.
- Departure: we kindly ask you to check out of your room by 10.00 am at the latest.
In winter we look forward to welcoming day guests too.
Our opening times during Winter:
- daily 10.00 am – 5.00 pm
- Hot food all day from 11.30 am
During the summer season our restaurant is closed.
However, we do offer daily the possibility to book our breakfast buffet (8.00 am – 10.00 am) plus the evening menu served to our house guests (6.00 pm – 7.00 pm).
- Natural toboggan run starts right at the Alpengasthof Kopphütte
- 4.5 km long natural toboggan run right down to the resort of Mühlbach
- Opening times: 9.30 am until nightfall (approx. 4.00 pm – 5.00 pm), please note: the run is not illuminated!
- Sledge rental: € 5,00 (free for house guests), no rental after nightfall
How to get here:
The best way is on the ski bus (towards the Arthurhaus) to the "Kopphütte" bus stop. From here it's just a 1.5 km long walk. The toboggan run ends at the Gemeindeamt (Council Offices) in Mühlbach. Here you'll find plenty of parking spaces plus the bus stop "Gemeindeamt". Or you can walk along the toboggan run itself from Mühlbach.

Internet access via Wi-Fi is of course available free of charge.
You receive the Hochkönig Card for the duration of your stay free of charge. The card entitles you to a number of inclusives and discounts in the region.
In winter, winter tyres and snow chains for your car are absolutely necessary.
If you just require breakfast, we deduct € 15,00 per night from the room price.

In winter we offer skiers and cross country skiers a shuttle to the ski bus stop.
Due to legal reasons children must be 1,30cm for this service.

- Charge for dogs: € 10,00 per dog/night
For single room occupancy we charge a single room supplement of € 15,– per night.
From 7 nights: € 1,50 per full-paying adult per night (not valid in the period from 25.12. to 10.01.)
For 1 or 2 nights: € 3,– per person/night.
We require a deposit of 5 % of your booking price. This fee must be transferred to our bank account within 14 days of booking. In the event of last minute bookings (within 14 days prior to arrival) the deposit is waivered. The remainder should be paid in resort prior to departure with EC-card or in cash.

Canellation terms:
Till 30 days before arrival we don't charge any cancellation fees.
30 till 7 days before arrival 70% of the travelprice
from 7 days till arrivalday 90% of the travelprice
In case of an eventuelly refund of the prepayment - we keep €10,00 processing fee.
We kindly ask for your understanding that in the event of a booking cancellation, Austrian Hotel Regulations apply. Therefore we recommend you take out travel insurance: European Travel Insurance.
